Western motel directly across from the Conoco tower Is absolutely a must stay if you're in this area. "Great Location"


On old 66 and worth the 1 or 2 miles off of the interstate. The motel is clean, quiet and far enough away to avoid any highway noise. The restaurant across the street is only open 10-4 but is in a beautifully restored old corner gas station worth a walk around. A really nice quiet stop over after a long day on I-40. We booked with an on like broker but still received a personal call from the owner wondering if we had any special needs or pets. It's great to know we still have small businesses like this around. "Nice Place To Stay"


We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. Fantastic bed (Mattress is kinda firm), super clean, great decor and paint scheme in the room. Staff was friendly and attentive. Easy access to interstate, several restaurants near it within walking distance, friendly front dest staff, great clean spacious rooms, an Hot water for showers after a long 12hr drive! "Great nights sleep"


Great place to ease off I-40, be welcomed by genuine Texas hospitality, get a very clean room for a great rate. Super neat place to visit on Route 66. While there try Rusty's just down the road or the steakhouse north of the motel.

"man in the office was exceptionally kind."


The man in the office was exceptionally kind. He worked with us to check in close to midnight and made sure I had a 1st floor room. The room was clean and very well stocked. Hot shower and amazing water pressure. The area was pretty bare, but just on the other side of I-40 east so close access to food and gas.

"feel right at home"


As tiny, independently owned hotels go, this one was clean, staff was friendly and welcoming and made me fall in love with Texas instantly. I will absolutely stay here again if I ever come through Shamrock again. 5 stars, primarily because of the welcoming staff that greated me after I left a previous motel because it was so gross. The lady was so accommodating and her demeanor was so peaceful and friendly. She made me feel right at home. Thank you.

The 3 name brand hotels were booked when we rolled through Shamrock late last night so we ended up at this great little motel. A cute Route 66 themed lobby and a super friendly, accommodating gentleman got my family of 5 checked in quickly into the over-the-drive 2 bedroom suite. We had a king bed and 2 queens for the kids in a second room with a shared bathroom. It was perfect! It’s obviously been around for a while, but it was very clean, and I would definitely stay there again!

"Excellent Stay in Shamrock Texas"


We discovered this motel when searching for an overnight stay in Shamrock. The location just across Route 66 from the old Conoco gas station and Cafe made it ideal for us and away from Rt 40 traffic and noise. The proprietor was extremely accommodating providing us with two rooms with a view of the old Conoco station and they were very clean and modern. Bathroom was tiled recently it appeared and all the furnishings were comfortable. The place is a must stay in my book and if you ever find yourself near Shamrock, I can't recommend highly enough using Western Motel for overnight stay! Superb customer service minded owners!

Stayed there last Monday. Super clean! The young lady at the desk was very nice and friendly. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toiletries. Everything you'd get in a larger chain for a whole lot less money. If I have occasion to overnight in Shamrock again I'll certainly stay there.

This place is great! Western themed retro hotel right on historic Route 66. It sits across the street from a fairly popular neon green retro gas station. Rooms are updated and very clean. Really nice owners. Best place I've stayed at in a long time at such a good price.

"This is the Little Local Hotel on RT 66 in Shamrock, TX"


This little hotel has a great atmosphere off the highway with locally owned people and it was quiet the room was big and super clean with a very large bathroom has all the amenities including TV with over 40 stations. Certainly the price was absolutely right and there was no noise from the highway. This little gem is right on route 66 so if you're into the nostalgic atmosphere come here.

"Wonderful Hotel"


Wonderful, clean room. Updated bathroom with plenty of hot water, and a strong spraying shower head! Wonderful service from the front desk, I really couldn't ask for more. Do yourself a favor and drive the half-block from the I-40 and stay in this hotel

"Pleasant surprise!"


I travel a lot and have always stayed at well known chain motels. On my way from Arizona to my home in Kentucky, I looked for an overnight stop in the Shamrock area, found Western Motel and took a chance. I could not be more pleased with what I found--a huge, spotless, comfortable and quiet room. I pass through this area four times a year and will make Western Motel a regular stop.

"Nice Room"


Couldn't ask for a better place. The only complaint I can come up with is they didn't have a vacancy on the bottom floor. Oh, and fantastic rates. I highly recommend this place .

"little gem close to I-66"


Located at short distance off route 66 this motel is gem. Stayed during my road trip. Super friendly staff is very professional and accommodating. Room was very clean and smelled fresh. Wifi in room worked well. Bed and pillows were comfortable too. Several places near by to eat at walking distance. One of best stay on my road trip. Thanks to great service and hospitality. Keep the good work folks. Surely recommended!
