"Breath of Fresh Air!"


We are so happy we stayed at Tropical Seas and we will definitely come back! From the cheerful lobby and staff to stepping into our room - this place was like a breath of fresh air! The staff was friendly, helpful, and I would give the customer service at this hotel 5 Star-plus. The room, lobby, pools, and even the elevator was sparkling clean and fresh. It was nice to have the garbage cans out in the hallway and the little broom and dust pan for the sand that we tracked in our room. The decor in the lobby and room was very beachy and refreshing! We can't wait to come back!

"Great view, Romantic, Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value"


We can't wait to go back!!! Now that my husband retired we can return often and stay all week! I'm hoping they have a rewards program for frequent guests! Trip type Vacation Travel group Family Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Rooms Nothing fancy, but everything you need. The kitchen has refrigerator, stove, microwave and sink. Our 2 chihuahuas had a great time, it was their 1st time at the beach. I loved the new floors and the ergonomic broom and dust pan so we could stop up the sand we tracked in daily. It honestly felt like our own small condo. Of we needed anything we just called the desk, for towels and toiletries. They even have convenient large trash containers in the hallway so we could take out the trash. I really loved this place, small, 9 floors, 2 pools, great ocean front rooms and steps away from the ocean. It was a wonderful, quiet vacation, great staff too!!! Nearby activities We were in walking distance of a pier, and a very nice pavilion that offered sailboat ⛵️ rentals, Jet ski rentals, banana boat rides and ParaSailing! Also a 3 minute drive to a Helicopter Ride! You could choose the length of your ride by price with the least amount of $20! We chose the $50 ride down the beach to Broadway at the Beach. It was very fun and exciting to ride in a helicopter! Everything was a 5 minute drive away and there was very little traffic being we were far south of the main drag. However we did drive down there twice just to see the lights, activities and hustling of hair braiding, henna tattoos, and the beautiful Ripleys Believe it or not buildings! Safety We saw no criminal activity at all and felt safe at Tropical Seas. It was all families, they were all friendly, we spoke at the pool. They waved at us on our balcony when our 2 little chihuahuas would bark their cute baby barks at other dogs. There was 2 big beautiful dogs one was a German Shepard, she was gorgeous. There was another large dog that was beyond beautiful, it looked like a sheep dog, the colors were kind of calico, but absolutely stunning. I don't think anyone would try to pull any stupid stunts with all these dogs around... 😆 🤣 😂 And I never heard any dogs barking. The rooms must be soundproof. And the parking lot is all in front, I'm certain the staff watch over everything. The staff were so friendly and kind. Especially Sylvia! If you needed anything, she took care of you immediately! Food & drinks There is an on-site Pizza Restaurant on the 2nd floor called Mama Mias. It was the best pizza we had during our week long visit! And we had eaten pizza hut the 1st night and papa John's the second night. Pizza Hut was not good at all, mostly bread, the bare minimum of sauce and hardly no toppings! We wish we had eaten Mama Mias 1st because we would have eaten there every night! They have many other menu choices too, wings, subs, and Ice cream! There was an ice cream parlor too! Yes. We love pizza, 😆 🤣 😂 Especially delivery, since we live on a lake, far out in the country so we have to cook our go out to dinner at night. "Family vacation "


We stayed at this hotel for the first time a couple of weeks ago. During our 3-night stay, we enjoyed a beautiful Oceanview room that was clean. What's more, I got to take our little 8-pound dog. Though I noticed a negative review of the pool being "unclean", that person must have just seen the small amount of sand (on the bottom) which could have come off of anyone's feet. Personally, having been a former pool owner, I recognize that keeping a pool 100 percent spot-free is practically impossible! I, myself, ENJOYED this pool!! The water was Clear and Warm!! Herman, at the desk was SO nice. I told him I intend to come back.

"Great get away "


This was our first time staying here. If I could give more than a 5 star I would. The room was very clean, staff was awesome and if you needed anything they were on top of it right then. We had the opportunity to talk to Stacy the maintenance supervisor over the pool and hot tub. Stacy definitely takes her job seriously and our conversation with her seems like we knew each other for years. We definitely will be staying here on our trip to the beach. My sister and I go to the beach for a couple of nights on her birthday. She loves it!!! The rooms are always clean the service is always great and the staff are awesome!!! I needed a short vacation for a few days. I booked Tropical Seas because it was oceanfront and pet friendly. I was comfortable and everything was clean. There was very easy access to the beach and everything you need is within a block or two. I would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely Great Value! Clean and bright linens and towels, only improvement to be on having more towels and washcloths. We had no issues with cleanliness or bugs or anything. Staid in room 701 side view Ocean balcony. 2 queen beds and nice bathroom.

We have stayed at the tropical sea several times! We love it! We always get ocean front with two beds and kitchen! Everything is clean and very nice! The lady’s at the desk are always nice and they definitely make sure you get fresh linen(bedsheets, towels, toilet paper)! I definitely recommend this hotel!

I had the most amazing experience in hospitality. Thank you front desk. They are very friendly, courteous and helpful. Chantal, Ramece, Raquel and Cherish. They do an excellent job at making guests feel at home and feel as of they are home. The smile. The greetings. Such a valuable human experience. The GM understands the meaning of hospitality. Mr Howard, Tyrell from maintenance are quick to resolve issues. All done with a smile and friendliness. The room was clean and no loud intrusive knocks from housekeeping. Privacy is respected here. Overall a great experience and I will definitely stay there again. Thank you Tropical Sea. Did I mention the view. Breathtaking!

"hotel is doing a great job"


I read a few recent reviews and they seem overly harsh. Our stay has been great. Check in was easy, the room was clean and had the standard toiletries. Beds and linen were clean, comfortable and bug free. The view is great. Staff has been nothing but friendly from the front desk to the gentleman who was sweeping the parking lot. It's an older hotel so you'll find some cosmetic flaws but who's got time to worry about that when you're vacationing on the beach? The pools are nice and the lounge chairs around the pool are comfy..theres great beach access with a shower to rinse off. Parking is a breeze. Location is good and there's a pizza joint on the 2nd floor which is convenient. There's only 1 elevator so rather than waiting impatiently, we've taken the stairs a few times. Sure, you may have to run down stairs for some extra towels or drop your bag of trash into the bin on your floor, but we're still in a pandemic and seeing a nationwide labor shortage. But, there's been no issues with water or most other things mention in recent reviews. All in all, this hotel is doing a great job. We will absolutely stay again.

"Excellent View! Don’t judge a book by it’s cover! "


We are from VA & decided to take a little mini vacation over the weekend to Myrtle Beach. so I searched & searched for a decent hotel that wasn’t gonna cost an arm & a leg for just an extended weekend. I wanted it to be a ocean front view & a nice room because I do not stay anywhere that ‘looks’ bad. they say don’t judge a book by it’s cover, but I definitely do when it comes to sleeping & keeping my belongings somewhere other than home. So, as I was searching, I came across Tropical Seas. by the cover(outside of the building) I was a little skeptical, but I read reviews saying it had been recently renovated, looked through the pictures, & all that & I finally decided on this one. we made the 5.5 hour drive down there & when we first got there, I was very much more skeptical by looking at the outside… however, we went inside to check in & I was very pleased with the lobby! so we get all checked in, with a minor problem, but the front desk lady was very nice & fixed the problem right away, go get our stuff(which I never do, I usually go check the room out before bringing our things inside, but I was hopeful), take our things to our room & open the door & I was ASTONISHED! room was nice, AC blowing cold, & the ocean front view from the 4th floor was AMAZING! the bathroom was a little small, but it worked. the room maybe could have been a little cleaner, but it was also right on the beach so the sand was just minor. all in all, we stayed 3 nights & were never displeased. great view, great location, great room! if you want a nice hotel with a great view, at a cheap rate, this is your hotel!

"Nice Place"


Friendly hospitality. My family (including my dog) got a Double Queen room on the oceanfront. Clean rooms. Very pet friendly. No pet fee. Few steps to beach access. Everything you need in a hotel. Especially if your planning to explore a lot.Did not find one thing to complain about. Very great price compared to the bigger resorts. We didn't have to walk far from car to room either. The only difference compared to 3 and 4 star resorts are the extra pools. I enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. This is our balcony view.

"Fall get-away"


I had the chance to experience Tropical Seas this past November during the weekend of the 10th. I’ve stayed in numerous places in Myrtle Beach over the years, but this was by far the best value of them all. The rooms are newly remodeled and clean and even though my room was on the side I had an excellent view of the Ocean. The staff was super kind and helpful and the parking was convenient - all spaces right near the entrance. I plan to return again!

The hotel staff was excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. I reserved 3 rooms. My room was immaculate. No problems or issues. The other two rooms for my relatives. One room the door didn't lock but I didn't find that out until after check out. The third room had a gnat problem. I attribute that to prior guest not cleaning. I will be back. Oh and by the way, the views were awesome from each of our rooms. We could see the beach. Very beautiful.

"First Time Here"


Arrived on 5-30-19 and we're staying until Monday. (607) As of today 5-31, this is our new place to stay. All staff is super super nice. Rooms are nice, pools are nice Great view, 3rd from last Hotel on ocean Blvd south, so beach is not crowded at all. Its been amazing today. And most importantly, our dog loves it. Highly recommend.

Best stay in Myrtle Beach in a long time. We have been going to MB for 20 years and have a family time share in the fall so when we come other times we always stayed at another place directly next door to the tropical seas. Well I can tell you after our stay last week at tropical Seasa, we couldn’t have been happier and will be returning A LOT,,,,,Great parking, nice clean room all updated , and great staff. "Love it!"


First off. Friendly staff.Secondly, they met my dog who always acts attention deprived.He was ready to meet the staff! Got to the room. Can you say CLEAN? White coverlet on the bed.I brought a top sheet to cover the coverlet. The little prince sleeps on the bed of course. He slept on the top sheet I brought whew! Glad I brought that, This is a family hotel. There were friendly puppers all shapes and sizes. The pool is very nice. We had an ocean front room. The view is worth the price! I LOVED this hotel. It was quiet and peaceful, We happened to be right across the hall from the Pizza diner. It was still quiet and the pizza was delish, This was a last minute trip. I had just been dx w/ early stage breast cancer. I squeezed this trip in just before surgery. I knew the next few months would be a challenge, so I needed a little beach time first. All is well, treatment and surgery is done, Will be scheduling my next trip soon, What a gem of a place

"Getaway "


Manager Mr King was great! Had very great desk employees! Had a few problems with the room service on the 7th floor! They did not make beds or sweep floors, forgot to leave toilet paper... not good! After talking to front desk, problem was resolved when the sent 2 others from another floor, these ladies were amazing! They went above and behind to help take care of us! Location was great! Dolphins in water, seagulls feeding on fish... easy access to beach! 2 pools and hot tub! Great vacation spot, I will return for all my future trips to the beach!

"long weekend stay"


This hotel was way over priced for what it was. I paid almost $800.00 for 3 nights. Asked for a kitchen. Had hardly no dishes, no dish cloth, no dishtowel. Rooms are very old. Needs desperately to be updated for the cost. Staff was friendly, but owners need to step up. Will never stay there again.

"Smoking "


There were no smoking signs up everywhere and yet there were tons of people smoking as a parent with two kids with asthma this really bothered me !

We do charge guest when caught smoking in the rooms or building but sometimes it is hard to pin point which people are actually smoking because the smells lingers. "Our Home AwayFrom Home"


It had been a while since my wife and I last visited this wonderful hotel ...mainly due to the recent renovations. We vacationed with our grandsons...needless to say everyone had a G-R-E-A-T visit. The accommodations were perfect...everything was so clean and beautiful! "Our" boys could not stay still...back and forth to the beach and pools...hardly ever slowing down. The beach is just steps away...everything so convenient. The oceanfront room was so clean...the cleaning ladies were all so nice...Robin and her staff made us feel right at home. We are already making plans to go back...really soon. Tropical Seas is just far enough away from all the hustle and bustle of the crowds, yet close enough to grocery stores, drugstores, and wherever else you might need...it is even close to amusement activities for children. This is truly a destination EVERYONE should visit...all the guests here are treated like family...what an AMAZING atmosphere. "Thank you, Tropical Seas...you have made us very, very happy!" So, what are you waiting for...go ahead and book.This has not been a paid advertisement...just an honest review of the best "home away from home" vacation you could book.

The renovated rooms are very nice. Hardwood floors and beautiful decore. The hotel and the rooms were very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pizzeria in the hotel has great food and is very convinent. The hotel is in a great location right on the beach with an amazing view. Two pools and a hot tub that are clean. I would deffiently recommend this place for anyone.

"Vacation"


So here was my problem with this hotel... I had called all week and was told that the hotel rooms were all booked up or that it would be around 700$ for a 3 night stay.. well we drove to this hotel anyways all the way from Kentucky, turned out they had 20 rooms available and they were cheaper than what I was told... my first thought was why do I want to stay at a hotel that lied to me all week? Well I stayed there anyways because my parents liked that hotel and we’ve always stayed there when we went on vacation. Now on to the rooms... see I’m almost 7 Foot tall.. and the beds in the rooms were obviously too small, what kind of hotel doesn’t have king size beds? It was so uncomfortable I drove home and my back hurt the entire way back. Well my girlfriend and I went out on the balcony and of course that’s covered in sand and the AC had leaked on half of the balcony.. and so we decided to go to bed after a 10 hour drive and of course we climb into bed and there’s just so much sand it tracked we wiped off our feet but there was sand all under the covers. We get out of bed to dust it off. We finally get it all and turn on the tv.. the channel selection was very small and no access to Netflix, I thought all hotels had upgraded their TVs? The WiFi wouldn’t stay logged into my phone and when it did it was slow... so slow it wouldn’t let me get on any kind of social media.. I was walking down to the pool and I went down the stairs and I had stepped on a piece of glass..do they not know how to sweep the halls or something? The pool area smelt like pot most of the night... after the pool we of course take a shower we didn’t have any clean towels in our room so we asked for some more and we waited 30 minutes and no one brought us towels. So we didn’t get our showers. The kitchens didnt have a whole lot of pans and pots especially not baking pans for the oven.. no steak knives. And a crappy can opener. I USED to like staying at this hotel but I was very disappointed with my stay this time around.

It’s a good location and was what we needed. The price-value ratio is good. The staff was nice and friendly. The rooms were clean. I had no problems at the hotel and the attention was good. I always enjoy this stop. Everything works perfectly for me. I always stay here on my travels at least four times a year. This is the perfect location and amenities.

"PERFECT CHOICE"


Wow..The hotel had just what I needed and was clean. I loved the attention, the workers were helpful and friendly. My colleagues and I were satisfied. Overall, it's a good place to stop for a night's rest.Best of all was the location of the hotel and the service was excellent. We really enjoyed our time here and would not hesitate to come again.
